Fall, Fall, Fall

So, it's official: fall has finally arrived in Austria. The days are beginning to get shorter, the sun has lost its intensity and you can already buy Christmas cookies at the supermarket (sick!).

But there is also a positive aspect of the season's change: Wearing more knit and leather. And I loooove these two fabrics! :)

Thanks again, Shirin, for giving me this snake-bangle. Love it! :)

Fall Inspirations

Looks and collections that are currently inspiring me.

First of all, Roberto Cavalli. I immediately fell in love with this kind of dark Bohemian look. Lots of feathers, leather and animal prints!

Secondly, there is Emilio Pucci. Many elements of this collection resemble of the Austrian traditional costume (called 'Dirndl'). Kind of 'Sissy meets the typical Pucci prints' - great!

What do you think - did you get inspired too? :)

Wish List

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. We spent the rest of our holiday in Italy mostly on the boat waterskiing and wakeboarding and lying in the sun all day long...so there wasn't much time left for taking photos or blogging (or even being online).
But I'm back now - and ready to better look after my little neglected blog! :)

So I thought I would show you a little list of my current cravings:

1. Good weather in Austria.
2. A huge walk-in closet.
3. Chocolate without calories.

....OK, and now continuing with the more realistic wishes (at least for now):

4. This look of the new Stefanel fall/winter collection. All the layers of knitwear, wool and cashmere look so comfortable and chic - at least ONE reason to be looking forward to the cold months.

This INCLUDES the two pullovers for my dog - of course! Remember her? She was already part of an earlier post. Here's a holiday pic of her in Italy :)

Boat Trip

Ahoi! Still in super-hot Italy. We spent this morning on a boat out on the flat sea, watching the sun rise, water skiing, wakeboarding and swimming. Took some photos with my i-Phone...'cause guess what? I forgot the cam at home...scatterbrained little me! ;)

Summer-Literature

Since I'm a little bookworm - especially when on holiday - I wanted to show you some great books I've been reading recently.

The first two are Sushi for Beginners and The Brightest Star in the Sky

Both are written by Marian Keyes, whose way of storytelling and describing (especially awkward) situations is just so comical that you can do nothing but laugh ot loud every second page. Love it! :)

The third book is One Day by David Nicholls.
To be honest, I haven't quite finished this one yet...so even if I was a party-pooper I couldn't tell you how it ends...but as far as I've come, I love the story and the way it's written. A little bit of romance, a little bit of sadness sometimes, but also very amusing at the same time. And the best thing is: if you're not so much into reading, you can easily just watch the movie that's being realeased soon. Yay! ;)

What books are you reading at the moment? Any recommendations?? :)

Learning to Fly

These pictures were taken at the end of a very exciting day.
We spent the afternoon sitting on our balcony and watching the Frecce Tricolori perform their famous show. Most of their stunts in the air were so spectacular that I had to close my eyes for a bit! It was the most stunning airshow I've ever seen. But my nerves....sigh. I think I need a drink now... ;)

La Bella Vita

Finally in Italy. We're enjoying ourselves very much here. The weather is fine, the food is delicious...God, this would be the perfext text for a really boring postcard....but that's just the way it is, sorry ;)

I have never been a big fan of orange clothes...not that I didn't like the colour itself...it just never seemed right for me. But THEN I came upon this dress at Topshop and it was love at first sight.
My little golden gecko likes it too ;)
