I prepared a little tutorial for you on how to make your own friendship bracelets.
It's really easy and so much fun to create your own styles and combinations.
You'll need:
embroidery thread
tape
a pair of scissors
Start by cutting several strands of embroidery thread at about 60 cm. Select as many different colours as you want to have in the chevron pattern of your bracelet - make sure there are two sets of each colour!
Combine the strands and tie a knot, leaving at least 7 cm of slack. Tape it to a flat surface. Then seperate the two colour sets and organize the strands mirror-invertedly.
Now pick up the outermost colour on the left side and make a forward knot over the second colour. Pull up and to the right to tighten. Continue until the outermost colour has reached the middle. Knot twice over each colour.
Then pick up the outermost colour in the right side and make a backward knot over each strand - again don't forget to knot twice and continue until you reach the middle.
Tie a backwards knot with the two middle strands to connect the two halves.
Remembering the colour order is important for the first few rows but after the 4th row, the strands will fall nicely in place.
Finish your bracelet with a knot and a braid.
